About The Founders

Some connections are too aligned to be coincidences

For years, Kelly Klein and Kristen Kelley moved in parallel—both in New York City, both tied to similar social circles, both living lives with uncanny synchronicities (even their names, even their partners' names). But it wasn’t until Los Angeles that their worlds finally collided.

Kristen had just landed from New York when she stepped into a Pilates class on a whim. The instructor was Kelly. That chance encounter sparked a friendship and eventually a vision: to create the kind of Pilates studio they couldn’t find anywhere else.

That vision became Tunnel. Kelly and Kristen recognized that the Pilates industry could use a bolder, edgier, New York–style approach. A fitness modality with grit, attitude, and energy. They raised the bar by incorporating infrared-heated classes set to curated playlists in a dark, immersive studio, creating a workout that’s as sensory as it is transformative. Inspired by Brooklyn lofts and NYC warehouse parties, they built a space that’s raw yet refined, grounded yet elevated, and unapologetically rebellious.

Tunnel has set a new standard for Pilates. A movement that is  unmistakably of its own kind.
